Get Tax Help Now
By Judy Hedding
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ("VITA") offers free tax preparation services to individuals and families with low or limited income, disabilities, senior citizens and limited English speaking abilities. They will help prepare basic tax returns that can be filed electronically. That means you'll get your refund faster! With their help, you might even be able to get a bigger refund than you expected, since they are trained IRS-certified volunteers.
If you haven't started your taxes yet, you can still take advantage of several walk-in, first-come first-served locations where you can get help. In the West Valley, the Valley of the Sun United Way is sponsoring the following sessions:

Sometime between now and Monday you will have hopefully successfully completed your tax returns and will be able to get them E-filed or postmarked by midnight on Monday, April 15, 2013. Then why not reward yourself! Here are some local businesses that want to help you celebrate Tax Day 2013.
